Development Team Overview
The Development Team strengthens the League of Women Voters Austin Area by building the financial resources needed to support our
expanding voter-education and democracy-protection work. As the League grows, sustainable funding becomes essential.
LWV Austin leads year-round, nonpartisan voter engagement through:
• Vote411.org for local election information
• The Voter’s Guide — produced, printed, and distributed each election cycle
• Voter registration and education across Travis County
• Community forums and civic engagement programs
• Advocacy to protect voting rights and democratic processes
• These initiatives continue to expand — and so do the resources required to sustain them.
To meet rising needs, we are creating a professional, collaborative Development Team focused
on:
• Sharing responsibilities so no volunteer carries too heavy a load
• Building long-term fundraising capacity
• Strengthening donor and community relationships
• Supporting new and growing League initiatives
• Ensuring financial stability for the work ahead
Ways to Contribute

share. Opportunities include:
• Event planning and logistics
• Donor stewardship and thank-you outreach
• Researching potential sponsors or partners
• Helping at tabling and community events
• Writing, editing, design, or social media support
• Offering professional expertise or community networks
Even one or two hours a month makes a meaningful impact.Who We’re Looking For
