The Summit will highlight practical examples of impact mitigation, policy ideas to promote renewables while protecting nature, and address a growing challenge: proposals for moratoriums and restrictive policies that would halt renewable energy development rather than improve it. 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. (online): The American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN) will explore why the 2026 midterms are a pivotal opportunity for climate action. ASBN is mobilizing business leaders to elevate the role of the business community as advocates for stability, innovation, and responsible governance, centered on three key pillars: Affordability, Security, and Business Opportunity. Take part in the 5th annual community-wide Earth Day Clean Up and fundraiser on the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail and Lady Bird Lake! Volunteers will have the option to launch from one of three locations: Rowing Dock (west end), Epic SUP (east end), and on the Butler Trail at Auditorium Shores. From there, you’ll select whether you would like to pick up trash by boat or by walking the Trail. This event is free for all community volunteers, with advance registration required.
